Young Marine Obligation
From this day forward, I sencerely promise, I will set an example for all other youth to follow and I shall never do anything that would bring disgrace or dishonor upon my God, my Country and its flag, my parents, myself or the Young Marines. These I will honor and respect in a manner that will reflect credit upon them and myself. Semper Fidelis

Young Marine Creed
*1. Obey my parents and all others in charge of me whether young or old.
*2. Keep myself neat at  all times without other people telling me to.
*3. Keep myself clean in mind by attending the church of my faith.
*4. Keep my mind alert to learn in school, at home or at play.
*5. Remember having self-discipline will enable me to control my body and mind in case of an **   emergency.

Young Marine Hymn
From the North and from the South we'll come
From the East and from the West
We will all enlist in the Young Marines
And forever do our best.

From the halls of all the grammer schools
To the shores of all our lakes
we will be the finest Young Marines
No matter what it takes.

Let the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts march;
Let the Cub Scouts strut and beam
Oh, you haven't seen the the greatest yet
Til you've  seen the Young Marines.

We salute the sailor boys in blue
And the army in their greens.
we are proud to bear the title of
The U.S. Young Marines.

All Young Marines are to study their Young Marine Creed, Obligation, and Young Marine Hymn. These are three very essential things to have memorized. I want to hear all of your pretty voices next week at drill singing the Young Marine Hymn.

I know many of you parents have paperwork you either need or need to turn in, however I will not be attending drill on the 27th. Please turn in paperwork to Mrs.Kahn or hold on to it until the following drill. I will have handouts that will be given on the 27th also. I will have Mrs. Kahn pass them out. Please remember that re-registration paperwork and dues are a must for your Young Marine.  Reminder that new recruit information night is Sept 17th, you should all be squared away, ribbons, boots polished and uniforms pressed.

The Young Marines are proud to announce that our very own travel site is up and running. We have partnered with Travelocity to provide you with all of your travel needs at competitive prices. The good news is that we, the Young Marines, receive some of the commission every time you book on our Young Marines Travel site. I just booked a flight for my mom and it was $30 cheaper than her own agent was going to charge AND the Young Marines receive a portion of the commission. To get to our site you may visit the Young Marines home page at www.youngmarines.com or you can go directly to the travel site at www.youngmarinestravel.com. We truly appreciate your support!

Please forward this to everyone you know who likes to travel. Not only can you save money but you are contributing to a great program for the youth of our country.
