Young Marine recruit training is open to boys and girls ages 8-18.  Northwest Ohio Young Marines are challenged in the classroom and in the field, and a strong emphasis is placed on physical fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  The Young Marine program is not for everyone, however those who work hard and complete "boot camp" are rewarded with self confidence, a sense of teamwork, self discipline and leadership skills.  For more information, contact Mr. Campbell at 419-729-5558, or email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Young Marines meet weekly, and participate in approximately one activity per month.  Activities may include camp outs, hikes, qualified field events, encampments, field trips and community service.  While in the program, Young Marines have the unique opportunity to participate in schools, challenges and adventrue based programs in the summer.

Young Marines run the Northwest Ohio unit, under the guidance of Registered Adult Staff.  Senior Young Marines teach classes, instruct recruits and organize the unit.  Today's recruits will become tomorrows instructors and leaders.

The Young Marine program is a youth education program.  It is the official youth group and drug demand reduction program of the USMC.  It is not a recruiting tool for the Marine Corps.  The Young Marine program is not the answer for troubled youth.  Hard work and a desire to be a part of the Young Marines is a must!
