180th Fighter Wing - Air National Guard Tour

On January 11, 2007, The Young Marines went on a tour of the 180th Fighter Wing of the Air National Guard at Toledo Express Airport.
Master Chief Randy Carsten (Ret) - A 37 year Veteran of the Air National Guard, arranged and conducted a tour of the Air Base. The Young Marines not only witnessed preparations and launch of three F-16 Fighter Aircraft, but were were also shown the aircraft maintenance hanger, allowed to view the aircraft cockpits and given descriptions of the aircraft's systems and the aircrafts weapons and components, bombs and other ordinance (intert), shown Pilot life support systems (including Rigging, Harnesses, Helmets, G-Suits and survival gear), allowd to view through Night Vision hardware, and got to speak with an F-16 Pilot.
